“Proper Waste Diversion and Recycling Starts at the SOURCE – IN THE HOME.The Kwik Bagit Eco/System with the reusable poly/ cloth bags will help to save our Environment for a Greener Planet".”

— Harold Sokyrka

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, November 1, 2018 / — President and Inventor Harold Sokyrka (President of Kwik Bagit Products International Inc.) launches the Kwik Bagit Eco/System on popular Crowd Funding Platform

After 2 years of R&D, this Patent Pending Utility Device is ready for the worldwide marketplace. The easy to use System encourages the use of machine washable Poly/Cloth Bags to reduce the amount of plastic bags entering municipal landfills and recycling depots. The reusable bags will save consumers from buying plastic bags that take over 100 years to decompose and it will also save the environment by reducing the amount of unnecessary single-use, oil-based plastic bags that are entering our landfills.

The “Kwik-Bag-It-Eco-System” is an Eco-Friendly Portable Utility Device that uses Telescopic Rails and Legs that can be reconfigured to fit any debris collecting bags in the marketplace. Primarily used for the collection of compostable organic waste and debris and for the storage of refundable recyclables.

The System also uses exclusive Retainer Clips that hold the bags to the rails of the unit which makes it so easy to fill and unload the bags. Sokyrka says "You no longer need a third arm or second person to hold the bag open while it is being filled. And once the bag is full – you simply release the clips and the bag falls to the ground and the full bag can then be unloaded into the compost or recycling depot. If it requires a cleaning, a simple spray with water will permit the bag to be used hundreds of times.

Another feature of the Kwik Bagit Eco/System is the portable roll-up tabletop, making it an excellent device to take camping, fishing or to a picnic or the beach where the unit not only collects your debris but it can be used to dry your towels and have a place to set your drinks on as well. This Unit is called the "Outback" and it can easily be strapped to a backpack or put into your camper or RV.

There is also a Commercial Pro Model that is used in the construction industry and is excellent for disaster relief clean up saving companies hundreds of dollars spent on single-use plastic bags. The bag on this unit can hold up to 50 lbs of debris, that has canvas straps and can be used dozens of times. Food Truck operators and Street Vending Carts will see a great benefit because the unit not only acts as a portable debris/recycling collector, but it also has a unique new advertising medium, to display their company logo or events. Tailgaters will love it because they can customize the bag with their favorite team logo. Community and School sports teams, choirs and bands will find this to be an excellent fundraising unit, as it will help to raise money for their organization and advertise their team logo at the same time.

The new sign medium will be another advantage to the homeowner as well as real estate companies because the unit can be secured to the ground to advertise signage for garage sales, house sale or rental suites, and for open house events.

During the launch of the Crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGoGo, the Kwik Bagit Eco/System will range in price from $19 US to $54 US, with volume discounts for multiple orders. Every pledge will receive a Complimentary Leak Proof Compost Bag that has a Zipper Seal that keeps odors in while compost from the kitchen is collected. This simple household bag will help to divert valuable compost material to the residence compost bin or from sending it to the landfill.

As municipalities all over the world struggle with trying to improve Waste Diversion, Compositing and Recycling Practices they are now burdened even more due to China's tough policy of now refusing any more recyclable material from offshore. As a result, Recycling Depots are scrambling to find alternative buyers and measures to deal with the stockpiling of recyclable materials, consequently now much of which is now ending up in the landfills because they have no place to sell it.

Sokyrka states that “Proper recycling starts AT THE SOURCE – in the HOME and by using cloth bags we will reduce the amount of unneeded and unwanted oil-based, oxo-degradable plastic bags from entering the municipal landfills.” He goes on to say, "Our USE ONCE – and DISCARD ATTITUDE needs to change". Sokyrka has also developed a Community Based Seminar called "DIVERT-RECYCLE and REUSE which is a 2-day seminar designed to educate the public about proper waste diversion techniques. This seminar can be purchased on the Indiegogo Crowd Funding Campaign as well.

He also goes on to say: "As more and more municipalities begin to realize that OIL BASED, OXO-DEGRADABLE PLASTICS BAGS are bad for our environment there will be more emphasis on discouraging residences and businesses from using plastic bags. Aside from having an outright ban on the use of plastic bags – the simple solution is to switch to using PolyCloth Bags that can be washed and used hundreds of times. This could be the beginning of a new approach to smarter waste diversion, and improved composting and recycling practices so that we can to strive for a “GREENER PLANET” and to help our Fragile Environment"!

GoSun To Provide 1,500 Solar Cookers to Support American Red Cross Relief Efforts For Typhoon Yutu

GoSun will provide 1,500 of their GoSun Sport portable solar ovens to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in the aftermath of Super-Typhoon "Yutu"

CINCINNATI, OH, USA, October 30, 2018 / — GoSun, the world’s leading solar cooking brand, will provide 1,500 of their GoSun Sport portable solar ovens to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in the aftermath of Super-Typhoon “Yutu" which struck the U.S. Territories of the North Mariana Islands on Friday, October 26. The durable, portable eight-pound device cooks a wide variety of foods, anywhere under any conditions, fueled solely by the rays of the sun.

"While this event has gone largely unnoticed here in the States, Yutu has been described as the worst storm to impact a U.S. territory since 1935, and with 180 mile-per-hour winds, it was the strongest storm anywhere in the world this year," said GoSun’s CEO Patrick Sherwin.

The US Coast Guard and the American Red Cross initiated major relief efforts immediately following the storm. The Red Cross ordered 1,500 solar stoves – which GoSun provided at a deep discount – as part of the first load of critically-needed supplies set to depart today, Tuesday, October 30.

"According to the American Red Cross there was only so much fuel or bottled water that can be transported to the Islands," Sherwin said. The American Red Cross immediately went into action to source emergency supplies for the 50,000-plus inhabitants of Saipan and Tinian. Based on the extent of the devastation, the plan for aid to a remote island needs particular focus on long-term, reliable, fuel-free solutions to serve the need until significant rebuilding efforts can take place.

An American Red Cross Disaster Volunteer, Sherwin has made himself personally available to accompany the goods to aid with deployment and education on the unique vacuum insulated solar ovens. "GoSun solar cookers are truly ‘survival’ devices," he said. "While they were designed primarily for pleasure usage in everyday life, they are there for you in a pinch for when disaster strikes." GoSun's provision of these units is part of an ongoing relationship between the Cincinnati-based company and the American Red Cross.

What is a Healthy Alternative to Processed Foods? Try Crock Pot Meals

What A Crock | Healthy Crockpot Meal

What a Crock Meals To Go Logo

Crockpot Meals Are Healthier for Everyone

COLLINGDALE, PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES, October 30, 2018 / — We all love processed foods; most of us were raised on them because we had working parents. If you had to give up processed foods, could you do it? Could you even name one? Processed foods include cereals, cheese, canned vegetables, packaged meats (e.g., ham) and chips. They are bad for us because they contain artificial ingredients (e.g., preservatives), high-fructose corn syrup and sugar. They are one of the main causes of obesity in the U.S. because they are made to be over consumed (e.g., family-size), low in fiber and nutrients and contain trans-fats. Not to mention they contain GMOs – genetically modified organisms. Examples of GMOs include sucrose, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, and sweeteners. At What a Crock, our crockpot meals are made from pure, natural ingredients, which you can pronounce.

Another excellent example of processed foods are microwavable meals. They are quick to make and come in a variety of flavors, including ones that are “healthy” choices. However, did you ever the label on them? They are loaded with sodium, which prolongs their shelf-life. Also, some of the diet bars are low on carbs but high in sugar or artificial ingredients. Our healthy crockpot meals offer different portion sizes, which helps you control servings. The leftovers are just as good!

We created portions that are right for you and your family, whether you have a light or heavy appetite. All of our crockpot creations fit any budget and planning meals is easy. You can arrange to have healthy crockpot meals for the week, delivered to your door or you can pick them up. In standard meals, it’s easy to choose the pre-made ones due to time and budget. Even the sauces and salad dressings contain harmful ingredients, not to mention the dyes that are added to them. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to eat food containing red dye #40.

Crockpot Meals – a Healthy Alternative

Aside from being easy to make, our healthy crockpot meals on a budget are a lifestyle choice to help you and your family get on a better nutritious track. We have real chefs hand-pick the ingredients for each meal. They do the hard work of:

– trimming
– browning
– dicing
– slicing
– measuring
– crafting sauces
– and more!

You just pop the bag into your crockpot, setting the temperature and time and go. Our chefs put the ingredients together for a meal (per portion) and then vacuum seal them into a pouch. The pouch is then immediately frozen. You get the meal in as little as 24 hours of being frozen – the freshness is guaranteed. We feel it’s worth it to give our customers the very best homemade meal, instead of hitting the drive-thru or ordering take out. And our the meals come with easy-to-read instruction card.

You can also feel good about the fact that we are a family-owned and operated company. The only thing we have in common with the big food manufacturers is that we save you time. Time out of the kitchen and sitting down at the table to enjoy a wholesome meal with your family. You can order online or stop in one of our locations. We love meeting our customers and answering any questions.

About What a Crock Meals to Go™:

Anthony Borsellino to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, October 30, 2018 / — Generally, when we feel sluggish and in poor health, we go to the doctor, and he gives us some type of medication that is supposed to take away our aches and pains. Besides the risky side effects these pills are generally a temporary solution and before we know it we are feeling sick again. How do we address our overall well-being so that we live genuinely healthy and feeling super revitalized every single day of our lives?

Anthony is a top notch naturopath physician, personal trainer, neurotherapist, and owner of Caballus, an exceptional health and wellness center.

“I have unreservedly dedicated my practice to every aspect of nutrition and wellness including neurotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine and ultra sound therapy which helps regenerate the structure of their cells so it decreases inflammation and appropriately treats their injuries,” says Anthony. “We combine everything from personal training, yoga, meditation, osteopathy, massage therapy, hypnotherapy, natural supplements, holistic meal preps, and much more to come in the future. We provide it all under one roof where everyone can get the service they require for optimal health.”

Anthony's pivotal journey towards a healthy lifestyle began when the age of nineteen he aspired to help young athletes reach their full potential. But when his grandfather was hospitalized with a debilitating illness, Anthony became frustrated seeing how rapidly he deteriorated because doctors were unable to provide him with the proper medical care. Recognizing how nutrition plays a critical role in our state of health, Anthony decided that becoming a Naturopath was his calling and purpose.

"My unwavering determination is to spread awareness of how vital it is for people to stay educated on proper nutrition,” says Anthony.

Anthony avoids all dairy, gluten, and eating as organic as possible with more veggies and healthy fats on his plate. By keeping fit, playing hockey four times a week, and staying active Anthony follows a lifestyle that keeps him in optimal shape.

“To combat sugar cravings I recommend increasing healthy fats,” says Anthony. “There is a link between sugar and the pancreas. The higher the sugar cravings, generally means that the pancreatic enzymes are not at an optimal level. Ideally, drinking ginger tea with turmeric and apple cider vinegar can eliminate cravings. Another suggestion is to add cinnamon to your diet or try use honey or stevia as a sugar replacement.”

According to Anthony the critical key is to treat your body as a whole physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

“We must be structurally balanced mentally and physically,” says Anthony. “You can’t see a fitness trainer expecting a quick fix to lose weight or being healthy. There is no magic pill and there shouldn’t be a number or date to your progress. Remaining healthy should be our life long goal. As we say, this is the only marathon we should be running.”

CUTV news will feature Anthony Borsellino in an interview with Doug Llewellyn Tuesday October 30th at 1 p.m. EST.
