CATANIA OILS ANNOUNCES ITS POPULAR AVOCADO OIL NOW AVAILABLE IN 750ML FOR RETAIL AND PRIVATE LABEL

Avocado Oil image 750ML bottle

Avocado Oil in a new 750ML bottle

Leading provider of conventional, non-GMO & organic oils answers consumer demand for smaller size heart healthy cooking oil

Avocado oil is the hottest commodity in the plant-based oil market today and we expect to see demand continue to spike in the months and years to come.”

— Mark Coleman, SVP Retail

EAST WALPOLE, MA, UNITED STATES, April 30, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Catania Oils, leading processors and packers of plant-based oils including olive, vegetable, blended and specialty oils, today announced the launch of its newest product, 750 ML Marconi Avocado Oil. Available to consumers and private label customers, today’s announcement highlights Catania’s pledge to meet customer demand by bringing innovation and quality products to market.

Previously, Catania Oils supplied avocado oil in its Bag-in-Box packaging in a 1.5-liter size. Answering demand for a smaller size for retail and private label customers, Catania developed new packaging in a 750ML light blocking bottle to preserve freshness.

There are numerous benefits to cooking with avocado oil. It is stable in high heat which makes it perfect for cooking, sautéing and stir frying. Rich in oleic acid, avocado oil is a very healthy fat – almost 70% is comprised of oleic acid a monosaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Like Olive Oil, it can be used in uncooked foods such as salads and dips and also has added beauty benefits for moisturizing the face, hair and body.

Catania Oils’ Senior Vice President of Retail Mark Coleman notes, “Avocado oil is the hottest commodity in the plant-based oil market today and we expect to see demand continue to spike in the months and years to come. We’ve already witnessed a steady increase in interest for this product from both home cooks and chefs alike.” He continued, “In addition to the numerous health benefits, it has a mild flavor that can adapt to any cuisine.”

Marconi Avocado Oil will continue to deliver on the company’s brand promise, “Authenticity in Every Drop”.

The oil is currently available to consumers at Market Basket and will expand to other retail chains soon. To discuss private label options, please contact Mark Coleman mcoleman@cataniaoils.com or at 800-343-5522.

Martha's Vineyard Makes the Front Cover of Hilarious New Book, "Cartoons Too Funny For The New Yorker"

Book cover of hilarious new book of cartoons. East Coast version features popular subjects: Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, etc.

Nuns with rulers fend off scary aliens

Aliens talking about Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk at the French Laundry

"Not Just Wickedly Funny," Says Professor, "But a Whopper Typo Will Have Martha's Vineyard Types Passing the Knee-slapping Book to Their Friends at Happy Hour"

McGuire's cartoons are too funny and edgy for The New Yorker, hence the name of the book.”

— Scott Sklar – George Washington University Professor

BOSTON, MA, USA, April 30, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Planning to visit Martha's Vineyard soon?

As of today, you'll be joined by two green aliens and their black dog.

Award-winning Washington, D.C. author, publisher and travel photographer has just published a hilarious book of "New Yorker Style' cartoons, and picked his favorite cartoon to grace the cover of the book. The cartoon is of two green aliens and their black dog planning to 'summer' on the popular island.

"McGuire's cartoons are too funny and edgy for The New Yorker Magazine," says Scott Sklar a George Washington University Professor who was raised in New York City, "hence the name of the book. Most magazine cartoons are 'gag' cartoons with a simple punch-line, whereas McGuire's have overlapping layers of humor. The cartoon gracing the cover of this new book, for example, contains five different funny elements, especially for those who 'get' the black dog reference."

This book is an East Coast edition and a West Coast version will be out shortly!

McGuire, who comes from a family of artists and architects, currently has 12 coffee table books in print but decided to expand into cartoons. "Many magazine cartoons are a bit sophomoric," says McGuire, "So I like to weave in complexity by including current references to food, wine, travel, science, medicine, and cultural news, as well as notables like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Lady Gaga and George Clooney. "In fact, he says, "spell check doesn't always catch super modern words like bitcoin, blockchain, and dogecoin."

"I love drawing aliens because, people are hard to draw and talking aliens are a juxtaposition between reality and non-reality adding more humor. My second favorite cartoon, perfect for all the Catholics in New York and New England who were whacked by nuns with rulers, show nuns with rulers at a stand-off with menacing looking aliens."

McGuire points out an expression in the cartoon world, "It is not the ink, it is the think," meaning no matter how well drawn the cartoon is, it needs to be funny! "And," he says, "cartoons by nature are caricatures, so the drawing can be wildly out-side-the-box as long as they represent the characters."

This East Coast Edition weaves in Eastern Seaboard references like New England prep schools, Martha's Vineyard, Central Park, Cape Cod & clam chowder. The West Coast Edition does the same for Hollywood, Napa Valley and the French Laundry.

Now, see if you can spot the typo, caused by predictive text and not caught by spell-check. In the book's introduction McGuire explains why he doesn't do political cartoons: "I don’t produce political cartoons as most politicians, like the late Donald Trump, create their own outsized caricatures by their own sheer buffoonery."

It has gone to press so I can't change it," says McGuire, "Besides Trump is still 'late' for anything noble: civility, dignity, grace, honor, kindness, etc."

The book is available on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093KGLRXD

Icecream innovation

The pace of innovation at growing FMCG leader from Latvia continues to grow with 124 new innovations released in the ice-cream and dairy space for Summer 2021 including cocktail inspired flavours

One of the many innovations include POLS caramel ice cream with popcorn in a caramel glaze, available in Latvia, that captures ambient movie moments with ice-cream with popcorn

Food Union – the international ice cream and dairy production and distribution group – captivates consumers with creative innovation across key markets.

RIGA, LATVIA, April 30, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — Food Union – the international ice cream and dairy production and distribution group – has shown their continued commitment to innovation and delighting consumers with their 2021 launch of summer novelties. Food Union has invested in the development of 124 unique products across the global markets it serves, including its key markets such as Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Romania, Belarus and Russia.

Featuring bold, sensory flavours developed with local market tastes in mind, with a surprising use of colours, tantalizing textures, and functional benefits, customers will soon enjoy the unique combinations and culinary complexities that Food Union’s innovative team have spent months developing at their purpose-built innovation hub in Riga, Latvia.

“Our product development team have achieved new sensory heights in 2021 and their dedicated approach is exciting palates and commanding visibility on shelf so that we stay top of mind with consumers and clients,” says Normunds Staņēvičs, CEO of Food Union, Europe. “Each product is developed after a rigorous R&D process that ensures we bring together a fusion of visual interest, flavour delight and nutritional value in a quality product.”

“Whilst we strive to excite consumers, as leaders in the production of ice-cream and dairy, we also strive to deliver the highest quality based on considered and sustainable sourcing and taking into account new trends in health and cult-following ,” Staņēvičs concludes.

The 2021 novelties are grounded in key trends that are shaping the industry:

TREND ONE: Healthy alternatives for a healthier life.
Consumers are more health conscious than ever, with an increase in flexitarian living and veganism. Consumers are actively seeking out products that appeal to their need to live a healthier lifestyle and as such Food Union has invested in numerous products to cater for this growing demographic – creating trusted favourites which offer the same quality flavours and goodness of traditional ice-creams but that now deliver low calorie, nutritional and vegan lines.

Premier Is Vegan ice cream in 6 different flavours and convenient tubs, available in Denmark

Premia Strawberry sorbet on a stick, available in Estonia
Premia Raspberry sorbet on a stick, available in Lithuania
Jättis Mango sorbet on a stick, available in Belarus

TREND 2: Visually instagrammable products warrant more digital time in consumers ‘social lives’.

As consumers spend more time at home and engaging with others digitally through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, the value of creating products which merit photography highlighting their bold shapes and flavours results in re-sharing that has a halo brand effect! Food Union’s summer novelties warrant attention with the launch of a rainbow of colourful wafers following on the success of last seasons black wafer cone which has become one of the new icon products to watch. Shapes and formats offer diversity from a square to a doughnut shaped ice cream through to tapping into the love of hockey in Latvia by creating a signature hockey puck shaped ice-cream.

POLS Doughnut shaped vanilla ice cream in choco glaze with sprinkles, available in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia
Väike Tom Square-shaped vanilla ice cream in glaze, in Estonia
POLS a hockey puck shaped ice cream in celebration of the upcoming World Ice Hockey Championship, available in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia
POLS Plum ice cream and cranberries and cowberries ice cream in purple and pink wafer cups respectively, available in Latvia

Launch of Txoko USA Creates Unforgettable Gatherings

Virtual Fine Dining Experiences Travel Around the Globe in a Gastronome’s Dream

Txoko USA was born out of the realization that we are social beings and the gathering of people over the shared experience of delicious food and storytelling is part of what makes us human.”

— Executive Chef and Founder Jackie Keller

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, April 29, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ — The pandemic did not quench the thirst many have for travel and connection. To satisfy those desires, SimpliHealth Growers™ founder Jackie Keller and Executive Sous Chef Oscar Gonzalez (a Level II Sommelier and Michelin star chef) created exclusive gastronomical adventures to share with clients and friends. The virtual events proved so successful that today they announce the next iteration, Txoko USA, an unforgettable shared culinary journey perfect for corporate events, fundraisers, family gatherings, holiday celebrations and more that are rooted in the intersection of fine dining and healthy, sustainable living.

A “txoko” is an inclusive experience centered around food, sharing stories, and creating community. Originating in the Basque region of Spain in 1870 and translating to “cozy corner,” modern txokos are members-only clubs of friends who gather to eat, sing and cook together. The interactive virtual affairs are designed to bring people together through a shared meal, weaving together multi-sensory components to create a culinary showcase that will inform and delight all in attendance.

Txoko USA offers several different tasting events – including ten-course menus, hors d'oeuvres, and truffle and dessert tastings, all paired with wine or mocktails designed and prepared exclusively by Keller and Gonzalez. Everything is fully prepared and delivered ready to enjoy, and shipped anywhere in the United States.

Client David Rosenthal – President & CEO of Curtis-Rosenthal, Inc, exclaimed, “Jackie and Oscar saved the holidays for our company. Their passionate insights taught us how smell, taste, sight, and texture all work together to create a completely absorbing culinary experience. The wines were all different, complex, and oh so enjoyable. Each course was so thoughtful, interesting, creative, and absolutely delicious!”
